Hi! I’m Diljeet, wearer of many proverbial hats. I’m currently PhD-ing at the University of Edinburgh, with the Scottish Graduate School for Arts and Humanities (SGSAH). There’s a little more info on that, and other researchy things I’ve done, here and here. Glasgow is my home, the friendly city – worth every one of the many hours I spend going back and forth on trains .
Outside of the PhD bubble, you might find me fluting with Glasgow Studio Orchestra, Flutes Unlimited or Paragon Music. I also do the admin for Paragon Music’s Play On programme. When I’m not doing that, I’ll most likely be doing admin for something else.
They call me the Fairy Gokmother – in lieu of feeding my own shopping addiction, I give fashion advice to my nearest and dearest.
I am a member of… SGSAH Doctoral Researcher Committee (DRC), SGSAH Knowledge Exchange, Training and Industries Committee (KETIC). I’m in the middle of a 2-year term as a Regional Committee member for the Musicians’ Union in Scotland/NI. I’m also on Glasgow Studio Orchestra’s committee, as a librarian when I have time, and doing lots of general things including providing the committee with cake.
When I have ten minutes to myself, I like to paint my nails but I’ll spare you those posts. Instead, I might share some musings on life as a Scottish-Indian female pursuing a less than typical dream.
